Got a few scratches after using my iphone without its case, and wondered if anyone knows how to safely remove them? Or are there any businesses that offer such a service?
cheers

It's toughened glass. You can't polish scratches out like you could with cheap plastic screened phones. While the glass is difficult to scratch, there are plenty of substances like sand that will scratch, so a cheap clear film on the screen will avoid the problem recurring. It'll also hide the existing scratches. I've got a Griffin Reveal case on my 4G to protect the back and sides from chipping if knocked against hard objects, and the camera lens cover getting marked if I put the phone down on a gritty table or whatever. I'm getting one of these as well: http://www.iphone-cases4u.com/product_info.php?products_id=1676 to protect the screen when it's in my pocket. My 3G got scratched by grit or sand in my pocket, so it's a cheap precaution.

so how do I get rid of the scratches?

Take it to the apple store and pay £60 ish for a new screen to be fitted 🙁

I scratched the screen on my 3G when a grain of sand was stuck to my finger tip and I swiped the screen. Left a big scratch. Started using screen protectors after that and not noticed any downsides in the use of the touch screen.
