Pick up my phone on Sunday to discover this has happened to it.(like it on all screens, white screen is just to show the pixels- rest of the phone works flawlessly)

No damage to the glass at all. I went to the 'Three Store' and they blagged me some excuse about it being a software glitch, which I'm 99% is rubbish. Maybe some water has got to it in this crap weather we've had.

I'm fairly certain its had no big hits.

Its still under warranty-obviously doesn't cover physical damage.
Anyone had this problem? Or know what the cause is? (its a 10 month old HTC Sensation(running ICS)- Still got 14 months left on my contract :O

Well the 3-Store say it's a software thing so unless they can sort it for you then they need to give you a new phone 🙂

Mrs Feet had a phone go a bit like that after she dropped it. Seemed that the LCD screen 'leaked' a bit. It all seemed to 'leak' back and after about 4 months was fine

That'd be my guess. Could be a memory fault too or, well, a number of things. Is the pattern constant or does it move?

It's broken, anyway.

My iphone did that once I dropped it. New screen was the only cure.

Got the same on my iphone after crashing a couple of times and landing with all my weight on it while it was in my bum bag.

Do you have some sort of security fob/card for work you've kept in the same pocket? Something like this happened to a guys iphone at work and it turned out he had it in the same pocket as his security fob. Kinda like holding a magnet against a CRT telly
