I hear there is a 6km trail near Eversley, previously used for Gorrick.
Anyone know where it starts/is ?
I don't think it exists anymore if its the one I remember. Was it in Bramshill woods between Hartley Wintney and Eversley? How long ago are you thinking the Gorrick event was? Happy to find out if its still there.
Ages ago I think.
I'm close by so will take a look this weekend. Would be nice to find a trail so close to home, It's a trip in the car or just fields otherwise.
Minley has a few old Gorrick trails that are worth discovering.
I remember that one! Years ago I went looking for the trail, there'd been some harvesting which made it tricky and was unable to make a loop. Never felt comfortable in Bramshill, even when I dog-walked there.
I used to do a loop which involved the perimeter of the castle bottom nature reserve. See if you can make the climb (dropped a pinPin on it from memory) going north on your first try Could help you make a nicer to/from route from Minley. You can enter a bridelway from either blackbush motors south of it or off the b3016 by the quarry west of it
Seem to remember races being held in Heath Warren just over the road from Blackbush. Still some OK trails in there.
