As a massively overpaid and underworked public sector employee with an income that could easily subsidise STW's bike bling habit, I could afford to rent the entire county for the weekend, but would prefer to go low key so can anyone recommend a decent B&B or guest house or even hotel in York?
Oh and it's not a bike weekend so in town would be better than out.

Bootham Gardens is where I've been a few times... Good rooms, within easy walking of the city centre and they call themselves a breakfast restaurant with beds!!! Breakfasts worth getting out of bed for...

and i can recommend [url= http://www.hedleyhouse.com/ ]hedley house[/url], also in the bootham area, which is walking distance to town centre. they got a few buildings depending on what you want. nice people to deal with, and good breakfast in the morning.
