Friend of mine is looking at getting a car from them, they have said if he puts the asking price in their bank account they will drive the car over for him to look at bearing in mind he lives 30 miles away. Then if he doesn't want it they will refund him his money!?! Sounds a bit dodgy to me......
Anyone dealt with or know of others who have dealt with them, are they legit or what?
Hmmmmm. I live in Rotherham, and I never encountered them when I was car shopping.
There's plenty of cars around, why on Earth would anyone pay upfront?
even if its 'legit' thats an extraordinary arrangement to ask a customer to make.
The company has got the word sure in the name. Makes me feel confident.
i think it was out of desperation, their car broke down for the second time over the christmas period and its not worth spending the money to fix it again. we went out this morning and looked at 6 thought he was getting the idea, went out on my bike for a couple of hrs and come back to hear him say about this really good offer the guy had made him!! i naturally said dont bother paying him any money up front. He needs a car for work so was hoping to sort it today, but it usually takes a week or too of researching first but as i said time is not on his side
Tell him not to touch it with a barge pole.

No way would I ever buy anything on that basis, no matter if I trusted them or not. You have lost all your bargaining position. Drive 30 miles with the cash in your pocket, kick the tyres, suck your teeth and haggle is my recommended action for your mate.
my thoughts exactly bigjohn, i couldnt quite believe what i was hearing!!
