Thinking about Jersey for our summer hols, anyone been and can offer thoughts and advice? TIA!
Never camped there, lived there for a year though. Pleasant enough place for a few days holiday. Wouldnt stay any longer than 3 days, you could combine the holiday with staying in Guernsey or the other islands too.
Cheers, not considered doing a few days on each. We have young kids so a good few days are spent on the beach.
Was there for a week with the wife this summer.
It was like a step back in time and everything seemed slower. Really relaxing for 5 days but frustrating by 7.
Loved the holiday, loved surfing for the first time and even managed to stand up despite breaking 2 ribs in the first 10 minutes, was amazed at the number and condition of the Nazi defences. The boat over to Guernsey can be really rocky as the waves hit the catermeran at a funny angle - my wife was ill for the whole day which kind of ruined the day trip.
Glad I did it - Yes.
Would I do it again - No.
Fun camping and playing on the beach - Yes.
Depending on luggage and travel needs, check out crossing as a foot passenger and then just renting a car/taxi at the other end.
