Came home to find pipes are frozen. Neighbour who is a plumber did what he could but he recommended that I get someone out tomorrow if I can't get them defrosted them tonight (he didn't want to recommend anyone, I can understand why).
Do the Scottish Borders STW Forum members know a good, reliable plumber? Cheers

If your pipes are frozen, turn off the water at the main, if you have any pipe bursts they will only show when the pipes thaw out.

Aye - turn water off and try to locate where the pipes are frozen. Check taps in sequence from where the main supply enters your house.
It probably won't take much heat to defrost the pipes.
