Trying to gauge the value of my father-in-laws collection. We are having to clear the house soon and there's a cabinet of a few hundred miniatures that we would like to go to a good home. Have no idea of what to ask for such a collection. Just want to ask a fair price and not see it just dumped...
Ronnie Corbett has left the group.
If blended, very little unless rare & old.
To get an idea about single malts, google whisky miniatures and you can then search any of the websites - bottle club, whisky shop, whisky exchange, whisky club etc.
Another option - search for any specialist whisky shops near you and ask them to give you an opinion.
Although you are probably better researching exactly what you have, as there may be rare gems in the collection, I think it is better if the collection goes as a job lot, rather than individual miniatures.
I've a couple. But these are pottery figures, and as far as im aware made int heir millions and despite age, pretty worthless.
I do have a House of Commons miniature. Got it off a mate who's GF's father(Jim Devine) was a member of parliament. But I dont think thats worth much anyway, though it is nice to have.
