My hoover m/c won't fill with water. It gives a momentary burst then shuts off.
If I select a programme and don't start it error code E04 comes up. Sweaty sports gear is starting to pile up.
I'd put money on that being a blocked filter. Mine's done it a couple of times and came up with an E-code, pretty sure it was E04.
Simple enough fix (on mine at least), tip the machine up and go in from underneath.
Should've googled first, I've just lost money.

E04 error code means Water temperature probe in short circuit or interrupted.
Wiring or a new thermistor, then.
According to the website below
Error E04 = Anti flood pressure stat, faulty inlet valve.
Whether that's any use is debatable
Thanks peeps. Not sorted it though. Time to call out a man i think.
Put your product code in here. I chose two freestanding machines at random and advice for E04 for them is to try the maintenance wash cycle before calling anyone out, that's assuming it will fill to run that cycle
Before you waste any money, take off the back and clean out the water level sensor on the back of the drum. Put the tube to your mouth and suck and blow, listening for the click as the switch operates. The spigot gets blocked with soap scum and stops the machine working.
Had one Inc that wouldn't fill due to motor brushes being worn. Half and hour and £30 worth of carbons and it was as good as new.
Guess it was smart enough bought to not fill if it wasn't going to do the rest of the job.
