Toy Run by Darwen Dashers Running Club.
An open invitation to all runners of clubs within the area served by Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
What is it?
A non-competitive social run where club runners take £5 vouchers for toys to a presentation to Children’s Ward staff at Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
When?
At 9.30am on Sunday 9th December 2012.
Where?
We will meet up at the coach park next to the Darwen (away) end at Ewood Park, Blackburn.
What will I need?
Please bring a voucher for a suggested value of £5 from Argos, Toys R Us, WH Smith or similar. Also a Santa hat and a sense of humour!
How far is the run?
Approximately 3 miles. The idea is to run together at a ‘social’ pace. After presenting the vouchers at the hospital and possibly a bit of carol singing (!) we will then return to Ewood Park.
I hope that you will find the idea interesting and that your club will join us on the day. It should be fun and will help cheer up children hospitalised over the Christmas period.
