Looking to buy a workshop/garage at auction. Probably around 40k. It was one plot of land with a couple of other commercial units on it. They have sold one bit off already. The other 2 bits, including the on I want is up for auction. Looks ok in the legal pack in terms of all plots clearly defined as far as I can tell. Do I need to get lawyered up at this stage and get them to go over the legal pack? How does the ownership work? I presume the land registry needs updating. At what sort of cost?

I would ask a solictor the check the legals - one the hammer goes down its yours!
