Fitting kitchen soon, and to fit the sink it would be very handy to have a loooooong flexible tap connector as it would save a lot of faff. Screwfix have plenty of these in 300mm, 500mm and 900mm lengths. Spot on.

But lots of them here

http://www.screwfix.com/search.do;jsessionid=OTHDSTHX1ZV2YCSTHZOSFEY?_dyncharset=UTF-8&fh_search=tap+connector&searchbutton.x=14&searchbutton.y=7&searchbutton=submit

Say "not suitable for drinking water" in the item page, like this one

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/27105/Plumbing/Flexible-Hoses/Flexible-Tap-Connector-15-x-1-2-x-900mm

and this one

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/70907/Plumbing/Flexible-Hoses/Flexible-Tap-Connector-15mm-x-1-2-x-500mm

Why is that please? What am I missing?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

They probably haven't paid for wras approval is all. Wouldn't worry. Anyhow, any decent tap that costs more than about 40 quid should come with flexi's anyway

probably the washer / rubber has not got approval. Use Speedfit ones and you'll be fine

Fit the taps first. Done a few now and on the last one connected a metre or so of plastic pipe to the taps before dropping sink on to the worktop, you then just need to trim to suit and hook them up to the supply lower down and clip them away neatly.

Hi Pete,

Sorry to hijack your thread. I'm doing my kitchen in a couple of months.

You gave me the name of a electrician in Farnborough that you used recently while we were out on the Super Tuesday ride. Having a cr@p memory, I forgotten it - could you give me his name and number?

My email is in my profile if you'd rather not give his number out on here..

Also, if you know a good plumber and someone who could fit a work surface, that would be handy too 😕 (I'm going to try and do the rest myself).

Cheers, Jon

Luis Santos, 07877 010075 🙂 no reason not to advertise I don't think!

Monkey & Grant, yes the tap dies come with flexies but they aren't long enough to do what I want, which is a bit involved. If you saw you'd understand. 🙂

Any good -

OR

Any decent local plumbing supplies should be able to scource what you need. Don't think they come any longer than 1000mm though
