When I worked in London, a 'tube crush' generally involved close proximity to some other bloke's sweaty underarm. Not any more!

Not at all creepy, especially the 'female tubecrush'...

It's nice that the internet gives freaks and weirdos an outlet for their freaky weirdness.

STW has always helped me with this, but now I've got somewhere else.

😆

A coach full of Japanese tourists parked up at the Three Sisters car park in Glencoe as my mate Tom and I were gearing up before walking in to a climb.

As we were putting our packs on, a middle aged japanese guy approached me and asked if he could take a photo of us with the mountain in the background, we of course agreed. Then he wanted one with his wife and daughter next to us.

By the time he'd finished a queue of people had formed behind him, all wanting their photos with the Scottish mountaineers (Tom is a Londoner) with the mountain in the background. There was an entire coach full! Someone even tried to hand Tom £10, which them prompted everyone else to start pulling out cash! We couldn't stop laughing about it all the way up to the route.

Jaffejoffer, once walked throught St James's Park in full top hat and tails en route to a wedding, with five others (ushers and groom). Dread to think how many tourists snapped us!

I went to a wedding in the chapel beneath St Pauls, brides dad was an O.B.E. or something. Tourists went mad taking photos of the bride and guests, was very strange. Must be a bit like being papped but best ask Hora about that 😉

When Chinese people think about British men, we think they're true gentlemen, because of their good manners and politeness

Why? Some photographers specialise in street photography, in particular that involving people doing everyday things.
On the other hand, I prefer my photos not to have people in.

Social history, innit.

Why? Its taking a pic not on a street scene with incidentakly a person in part of the shot. Its taking a pic specifically of someone for ..nefarious reasons....

Nefarious reasons? 😯
Eh? WTF are you on about? Seriously, just what the hell are you talking about?
You really are out of your tiny little mind.
Nefarious reasons! Sweet baby Jesus. 🙄
Photographers have been specifically taking photos of people going about their business in the streets, on trains, etc, for as long as photography has been around, Henri Cartier-Bresson being one of the great exponents.
And have you actually bothered to look at the link?
Just to remind you, it's is totally legal to take photos of people in public places, without requiring their permission, unless the photos are intended for commercial use, in which case permission is required from the subject.
Ok, got that?

I think it's bloody creepy too. Taking a surreptitious photo of someone because they are attractive- it's sod all to do with photography.
Quite why you've lost it with Hora for expressing his opinion is beyond me!

It sounds like he needs to jerk off to some pictures of people on the tube.

Slightly related anecdote. I was on the tube one day, gang of 18-20 year old girls got on, stood very close to me. As the tube moved off one girls bum banged up against the hand rail I was holding onto and my hand.
She started laughing and said to her mates "My bum just touched that blokes hand, is he fit?"

One of her mates looked at me with a deadpan face, "No".

🙁

Hah I had similar last year, was walking up some stairs and this girl was walking down with her mates whilst singing and looking at her phone, she quickly glanced up (obviously not long enough to get a proper look) and went "oh my god why didn't you tell me there was a fitty?!" To which I was quite smug until her mate immediately replied with "there wasn't" 😆
