The best tea room I know is called 'Libby's' , on Town street, Marple Bridge.
Their cakes are gorgeous and the baker is a proper patissier (sp?).
Home made soup and toasted snack too, all yummy.

I went riding once with the Macc Wheelers, who indeed took me to the Roaches tea room, where we tucked into copious amounts of cake, crisps, puddings, snacks, in fact anything that they could lay their hands on.
