Planning on buying a set for a SS that I am building up will be using a CK BB and a EBB, i have used a set of middleburns before but in square taper guise and they were fine but want to go down the external BB route.
When ordering they want to know the BB size there is a choice of 100 , 83 and 68/73!!
So any advice

Gonna stick my neck out here rich, but your ruler out and measure the width of your BB! And no, it's NOT "about 8 inches" wide... 😉
Though unless your new frame is a DH/FR bike that you're SS'ing, it will either be a 68 or a 73mm BB shell.
