I like taking photos but I'm terrible at tweaking them afterwards.  Are there any experts (self proclaimed or not) who'd be willing to take a shot at this?  Massive appreciation etc!

If you're no expert there are plenty of presets you can find for free online, just download a selection and have a little library. I tend to just try a few on my photo and then find one I like then use it as a base and adjust it myself a little afterwards.

Also why the heck if your photo 80mb?!?! Just rinsed my DL allowance haha.

NOT AN EXPERT!! Just playing here

First go

Auto is my first button to press if I'm not cropping it, tweaked the exposure and contrast a little and then used a graduated filter to alter the mountains and sky seperatly

2nd go

As before but used the feehand airbrush tool to alter the mountain only and tweaked the settings, not sure how far you can go with it due to the way it was shot though

Where's the location btw? Everything in the photo - especially that waterfall - looks incredible.

Phones are getting pretty good eh!

Nice job getting rid of the vignetting on the sky Cranberry. I tried and failed with that.

It's Half Dome in Yosemite, hence Martin's pun. It's Nevada Fall and below it you can just see the top of Vernal Falls.

I'm just starting to learn Capture One after falling out with Adobe ( bought a full copy of Lightroom and got screwed with updates ).

There is a slider for light falloff in Capture One.

It got slid.

😉

Here's a wee play for a laugh: low res version cause I destroyed the image ****ing about with it and can't be arsed doing it again on this shady pc screen! 😆

Before you try graduated filters on the sky, just try the magic that is the dehaze slider

Loving all the different interpretations of a single image.

Subjectivity rocks.
