Worked 15 years for a small business. No written/verbal contract. High salary of 75k, and 25 days hols left for the year. No other bonus/perks.

Statutory redundancy package = 8400.
Is there a notice period payment? And a holiday entitlement payment? And if so, any figures?

Assume redundancy case is reasonable and correct.

Not me btw!

weekly pay is capped at 400 pw if you're up to 40
600 pw if you;re over 40

no of weeks due depends on on age and length of service

on top of that, he may be paid in lieu of notice at regular pay rates - if so this is tax free

No written/verbal contract.

Have they been paying your tax/national insurance contributions
and have they provided you with a P60 each year ?

They are legally bound to give you a contract of employment.

sorry, should have read through properly.

they should allow you to take your holidays, or pay you for them at the standard daily rate if there is not enough time. likewise, they should either continue to pay until you have worked your notice, or pay you in lieu of notice. payment for holidays will be subject to tax, payment in lieu of notice is not

daily std rate = what you get paid for a day

365 days per year - 104 (52 saturdays and sundays) = 261 working days

Annual salary divided by 261 = daily rate

from the figurts above, 75000 / 261 = £287 per day

Nope I would offer you the job and you'll then be given the contract of employment.
