Can anyone please tell me what type of fish this, if it's likely to have come from a bowl or a pond, and whether it's likely to have been expensive? Looks like a plain old goldfish to me, but it's going to take some detective work to figure out where it came from...

Did it mysteriously appear on your coffee table or something?

I'm pretty sure it's dead though, if it's not dead it's certainly very depressed.

It's not very well that's for sure. It was under the coffee table, not on it.

Goldfish and cat is my guess. Been there some time, desiccated. £ess than a pint.

Is it one of those magic fish you get from a cracker?

Definitely a goldfish that's been dropped by a cat/heron/local fish snatching weirdo 😉
