Need help with my security lighting

So i have two PIR security lights, both are wired in to a junction box on the inside of the garage then the junction box has a power cable from the garage's wiring circuit supplying the power

Now my problem is if one pir light comes on and i go and step in front of the one that's off the one that is off wont come on until the first light goes out and visa versa

Any ideas why? i want one to come on when i pull up and the other to come on when im opening the garage door but have the first one still be on for unloading

Cheers

Perhaps the PIR will only trigger if it is dark, and the first light provides sufficient illumination to prevent the second PIR triggering.

They normally have an adjustment dial which changes how dark it has to be before the PIR will function - adjust this on both so they function with the other light on, but not during the day.

Yep, if you want two to come on together like that, then they need to trigger of the same sensor.

Two adjacent separate lights with PIR sensors will often be a compromise; either two lights and one sensor both on together in the dark, or two lights two sensors with one (or both) working during daylight as well

Cheers guys, Ive adjusted the lux settings so now each light works when each lights pir sensor is activated

Will see if they come on during the day and adjust accordingly

Thanks

We have 5 PIR lights covering the patio, they all come on independantly as your walk past them, never had any problems with interactions between them.
