Is it ok to leave a completely hollowed out tooth with no filling for a week?

asked this before - i used a self filling kit from boots and left it in for 5 months till i got a dentist that would take me as an NHS patient !
TBH im going to have to go get it redone - the temporary kit i put in was doing a better job than the dentists filling is !

fill it with tinfoil.
