Thinking of getting another one but being legal this time instead of using it on private fishing lakes and the like.

Where can I go?

TJ - Looked at that one but I've already got one freeby. I wanted a spunky one that doesn't even let water in.

Druid - The west coast road trip is happening this 'summer'. It's got to, I need some winter sustenance.

try www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk

finding and joining a club may be a good option. Yorkshire has some good ones IIRC. Try the BCU website (British CAnoe Union).

my kids are members of Sheffield Canoe Club

and instruction from senior (trained) members seem to be part of the package

but yorkshire is a big county

Rother Valley country park east side of sheffield (but might actually be in Rotherham let you float your own boat) for a small fee if looking for flat water to pootle on, think they do courses as well.
