any AutoCAD user in?

A friend has sent me a drawing but I'm using 2009 and can't open it due to it being set up on a newer version. I've tried TrueView but it can't open it either (an older version of that too) and I can't install the latest as my PC is rather old...

Could someone open it and save it as an older version for me if I send it over?

Just ask your friend to resend the drawing but save it as 2008 or lower.

Download draftsight, it's a free program, you can open newer versions and save them as older version of dwg or dxf. It's almost as good as old AutoCAD

If Draftsight won't do it, download ProgeCAD as a trial.
