I have a victorian two bedroom semi and would like to remove the rads in the lounge and dining room and replace with wet underfloor heating. Is it just a case or removing the rads cutting the pipes down below the wood suspended floors and then connecting up the ufh pipes to the existing pipes.
I will be removing all the floor boards and insulating between the joists. I then plan to lay the ufh pipework on the insulation and refit the floor boards if in good condition.
The down stairs heating is currently controlled by a wireless thermostat connected to the boiler. I have read about the pipes may run to hot and that a manifold should be fitted. Is the manifold really needed or is there a simpler way of doing this?
