I didnt think iplayer was developed yet for Android phones, I'm sure on the BBC website says its some thing they are currently developing.

I've been using beebplayer for a while and at first it worked fine. However now I can not watch the LIVE tv stuff it says failure to connect to the server. Recorded still works fine though, can't understand why it will no longer do live stuf..

There are comments about these problems on various forums with some suggested resolutions, but I got bored of reading...

ah I didn't read that when I updated !

Its a shame the live stuff wont work, I assume its to do with having TV licences?

some stuff at the bottom of the iplayer downloader page about recent problems (this programme simulates an iphone connection & BBC lets you d/l as MP4).

Maybe a general problem (or hurdle imposed by BBC)

if you want to watch live tv, you can do so at tvcatchup. I used to watch it on my desire.

If you upgrade to Android 2.2, assuming you can of course, you can just use iPlayer on the BBC website, as 2.2 has Flash working.

Or just use myplayer...

I updated to 2.2 today & I'm now able to watch beeb content, including stuff on the normal BBC site, although Iplayer only works on WiFi as the beeb only lets Vodaphone stream from 3G.
I previously used myplayer.
HTH.
