Friend is looking to buy a gift for her husband and is looking at this or Monkey 47 anyone tried this one or play safe with Monkey?

I'd get the weird one, though I've never tried it

(Williams chase dry gin is about 20 quid on there just now)

I would get the weird one as well but it could end up a bit shit and as its a gift I would feel rubbish for recommending it.

Odd choice. If you like gin then get a nice gin rather than something somewhat different.

Bathtub in a brown paper bottle is my choice ? perfumed and strong - just make sure all is well in the world before you sink a bottle in a night ?

It's a gift so rather than buying something they have had before it is an attempt to offer a new experience. But risk comes with this strategy ๐Ÿ™‚

Jenever is typically drunk neat like a vodka shot and served very chilled, an old one (oude) will be more aromatic and maybe slightly smoky. (Old one are served less chilled, but again, not mixed.)
