They will get the same treatment if not worst because they are in dilemma now due to the working class supporting Brexit.

20%? more labour voters supported remain than Tory ones though

its definitely a dilemma but as support for brexit is falling, especially as the negotiations fall apart, thers still hope

Brexit was always an idea but no one at Vote Leave, Farage, Hannan, Johnson, Gove, Mogg, Patel ever explained how it would happen, what the process would be & what it would cost

May tried to embrace Brexit & its dragged her government to the brink of collapse

Government is stable as far as I am concerned. Very stable.

Genuine LOL
Minority
Dropping Ministers
Massive internal division
Backstabbing, briefing against and infighting

It's stable compared to perhaps Italy but not anywhere resonable

The oppositions trying to bring down the government are just doing their jobs.

Nope this is suicide.

Is that the McTernan whose advice has destroyed the Labour Party in 2 countries?

My short list, plenty others would be more competent - The PM has a massive record of incompetence in office so it's not a surprise.
Corbyn
Stamer
Hammond
Cable
Davidson

Usual suspects so no surprise there.

C'mon surely you have better candidates than the ones listed. Who?

May needs to stand down if for no other reason than her own health.
Hammonds the only credible Tory alternative the rest are incompetent or egotists or both.

Corbyn just needs to keep his nose clean and he’s in.

Hammonds is good as MP but cannot be PM.

Corbyn will forever wait in the wings but it will be a step so close yet so far.

Like I said British people Do Not have the alternative.

The alternative will only appear after at least 10 years later, because they are not ready yet at the moment.

Genuine LOLs at Chewie.

Holding the line bravely, looks around "bugger, everyone's already surrendered".

Too busy fighting a lost battle to realise it is, well, lost.

Maybe a niche slot at the end of Fighting Talk doing a 30 second defend the indefensible every week, week in, week out. He could become a kind of cult figure, a General Melchett for the Brexies.

Since I managed to get the killfile working, my forum experience has improved by 97%.

I'm thinking of organising an office sweepstake by putting the names of all the cabinet members into a hat. Boris or Damien next?

If you don't like being sneered at, don't make yourself look ludicrous my defending totally indefensible positions.

I'll say one thing for Priti Patel, though, she sure can fake a smile!

Boris or Damien

itll be a curveball...

Hammond is secretly the Croydon Cat Killer

Innevitibly The Disfgraced Former defence Secretary Liam Fox will get caught up in some sort of dodgy dealings

(check out @Annaisaac on twitter Telegrapgh journo who was on the trade mission to Uganda with Patel & Fox- shes tweeing the script to an episode of the thick of it with DFDS Fox as Peter Manion MP

Ever the optimist, Dr Fox decided to do what we all do if we feel something has been lost on an aeroplane: he got up from his seat in business class and carried out a thorough sweep of all the rows. Perhaps she had boarded early and sat in a quiet corner, he reasoned. It is an image that will stay with me – Dr Fox hunting through the seats for his ministerial colleague as if she’s a missing Gameboy.

Alas, no Ms Patel in sight, and the plane was about ready to leave. We all knew about Ms Patel’s inclination for misadventure abroad, but this took the biscuit.

from torygraph via guardian)

Whats really interesting is that huge smug grin that Patel had when she'd just been fired, I reckon she has something on May, the Israel stuff weve been told is not the whole truth

She has. Patel is a highly influential member of the European Research Group, chaired by Suella Fernandes and comprised of roughly eighty Tory Brexiteers. The ERG is very secretive, there's no list of members in the public domain and they even have their own whipping system.

Conservative Home

Those eighty members have enough collective power to force a leadership challenge, you can bet that the conversation between May and Patel when along those lines.

You may not like my response but why didn't they let the last person standing? After all he (the Japanese) was the only person left. What could he do? Why were they (American) so afraid of the last person?

If you were the last person (with strong ideology) what would you do?

Realise that the fact I was the last person left was for good reason, have a bit of reflection, give up graciously then get on with my life?

Just a suggestion - and actually meant helpfully if we can get past all the playground stuff (of which I am as guilty as any on here).

Call me cynical but there seems to be a competition among the pro-brexit side of the cabinet to get themselves sacked and avoid the blame for the exit negotiations and any trade deal. In my book May's only virtue is that she has seen through this and aims to take them down with the ship.

Even the Brexiteers acknowledge that Boris is a disaster and would be a poor choice for PM.

I can only echo the sentiments about him expressed in this thread. He also seems to have great difficulty in keeping mini-Boris zipped up, not that makes any difference to his (in)ability to do his job.

Thats the problem with appointing people to the cabinet because they are brexiteers to keep the balance

they arent promoted by ability, just their blind adherence to the cult of brexit:
Fox, Davis, Patel, Johnson, Leadsom! Mordanut? etc

saying that still bonkers that May became PM, despite her terrible record as home secretary that shes more than lived up to as PM

As per the EU referendum thread, we aren't completely unwilling passengers on the £250m Brexit bus heading over a cliff, we do wield power in that we can use our votes, or petition our representative in parliament to speak on our behalf.

One of the first things I did in the wake of the Referendum was to make a contribution to Gina Miller's Best for Britain movement. When it came to the GE, I researched all the candidates for their views on leaving the EU and I voted accordingly.

We all have a duty to petition our MPs, if enough of us respond via They Work For You, then it will be easy to track which MPs respond to their constituents in a timely fashion. In short, don't let the bastards get away with anything without demanding openness, transparency and public scrutiny.

With Penny Mordaunt who brazenly lied on national TV during the referendum is another brilliant move from Stong & Stable Theresa May?

I had to look her up, actually mildly interesting.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_Mordaunt

This made me smile especially:

When receiving The Spectator magazine's Parliamentarian of the Year award in November 2014, Mordaunt revealed that she had delivered a speech in the House of Commons just before the Easter recess in 2013 on poultry welfare so as to use the word "cock", as a forfeit for a misdemeanour during Naval Reserve training.

It can’t just be coincidence that all this rot is being exposed.
Who is letting it out and what do they hope to achieve?
The Russians, our secret service or the papers?
I would have thought the Tory papers would want Johnson to be pm but he is getting smeared along with the rest of them.
The only scumbag staying off the radar is Jacob Cream Cracker. Surely they aren’t stupid enough to want him in “charge”?

Vote of confidence and loyalty from Gove means he is almost certainly marked for death.

Turning a blind eye to the depravity of the rich and well-connected is very much a prerequisite of any UK government.
