Sadly, with a great many music heroes in their 70's, heading into their 80's, I'm afraid we're going to see more losses in the coming years: we've already lost Allen Toussaint this week, as well as Phil, and it's often said these things come in threes... 🙁

I almost cant get through as week without someone else popping off in their early 50s

Was lucky enough to see Motorhead with Philthy still hammering away at the back at Barrowlands in the early 90's (when Motorhead frequently used to cancel gigs due to low ticket sales).
RIP (not so) old soldier.

Gutted I never saw them back in the day (for some reason it was one band I didn't get to see despite spending so much time at gigs). I did once try to blag a cheap ticket outside Queen's Hall, Leeds after sharing a car with my brother (who did have a ticket) but had no joy so went back home with my dad.
