[Closed] Another bloomin T4 thread!

A friend is selling a T4 for £3,500. I can probably get it a bit cheaper. I'm trying to work out if it's a good deal or if I would be better finding something that isn't VW. It's 1996 and has 250,000 miles on the clock, although the engine was refurbished 40,000 miles ago. It's all running smoothly and is finished nicely, good lighting, fittings etc. I wouldn't have to do anything to it unless I wanted to. It's a 1.9.
