Some Instragrammers I follow are placing ads in my feed which are really annoying (eg Santa Cruz!).
Basically, they insert slideshows of up to 10 images which each take about 5 seconds to play.
Strava went thru a phase awhile back doing the same (I swear I was subjected to a slideshow of around 20 images by then once 🙄).
Apart from reporting each ad separately, is there any other ways of blocking or skipping this type of content?
Yes, I know Instagram is free and these companies need to advertise but if this continues, I'll stop following them on Insta (I'm sure they'll be shitting themselves if I decide to boycott them instead).
FWIW: I only follow a few accounts and as I've already bought a Santa Cruz and I've been a long term, paid Strava subscriber, I feel they've had their pound of flesh from me...
You absolutely sure you're not tapping their stories? Just that, that is kind of how stories work.
Are they full screen? I can't recall having any slideshows/videos I can't scroll down and past. I don't follow Santa Cruz mind.
Unfollow them...if you've already given them your soul, why are are you follow for more???
