Beaches, cafes, restaurants, things to do, etc.
One thing stands out for me. The White Eagle at Rhoscolyn, brilliant kid friendly pub.
Also the aquarium is quite good. Didn't see much else as I was staying on the Llyn.
If you have kids under 5 or so then the model village is worth a stop if you are passing purely for the self drive train they can go on. The actual village is rubbish
South stack lighthouse is good, and there's some nice coves near there. The sea zoo is great.

Certainly not a pub - more a restaurant with pretences of being the pub it once was. If you don't want to eat, don't expect much service, and do expect to be asked to vacate your table for someone who does if it gets busy.
But, it seems to do pretty well for itself serving the double-barrelled of Cheshire...
The beach at Rhoscolyn is nice, but can be over crowded in the summer, especially if it's a nice day. Just grab an OS map and look at some of the more secluded ones further up the coast.
The castle in Beaumaris is worth a look, and South Stack lighthouse. Also some bronze age hut circles up there. There's also the windmill at Llanddeusant, and plenty walking of course
+1 for the beach and nearby pub at Rhoscolyn.We camped nearby and when the sun is shining that beach is fantastic.Some great shoreline walks too.Swam through this too!

Pilai Palace for the kids. Meerkats, butterflies, reptiles and birds plus soft play and climbing frames. (There is also a cafe for the grown ups)
Pili Palas for animals, the model village is cheesy but fun, Beaumaris for a castle to explore, Parys Mountain also for exploring.
Ice cream from the red boat cafe after Beamaris was a great choice last weekend. Before the skies fell upon us.
A good one if the kids are older is to go down in the workings at Parys mountain. The Parys underground group go down there, I think every wednesday evening.. It's amazing, with everything covered in acidic water and decaying. Deffo not for the scared or claustrophobic though.
Penmon Point for porpoise watching, boat trip from Beaumaris to Puffin Island, Cemlyn for pebble sculptures and Terns, Foel Farm for animals, Carmel Head for big wave watching, Newborough for long beach walks (to tire them out !), lots of small coves to explore, get a map and explore around its all good and the weather is usually good.
My gang enjoyed the dinosaur/geology/fossil place. Googling suggests it's currently called Stone Science, old fashioned family run museum, fossil shop and petting farm.
blimey, is Stone Science still open ?, that chap was responsible indirectly for my eldest girl studying archeology at uni !
Beaches
- Aberffraw is lovely and as you have to walk 10 mins from the car to get to it, it's often very quiet
- Rhoscolyn is a lovely place to kayakers
- Church Bay is nice and the Wavecrest cafe does amazing scones you will not be disappointed by them
- near Rhosneigr just by RAF valley the beach that backs on to the airfield is great (park at west end of airfield). Again very quiet and beautiful (can't see airfield as it's behind the dunes)
- avoid Red Wharf Bay/Benllech it's too busy
Coast
any bit of the top NW corner is great (from Cemlyn to Church Bay) - lovely coastal scenery just watch the kids as there's a couple of bits of the path with big drops into the sea
Porth Wen is very nice too
Llandywn Island can be reached from Newborough forest for most of the day - really worth spending a bit of time there and the beach to the north is stunning and very quiet
Food
Douglas Inn, Tregele is very good
Jam factory near Cemlyn has a great cafe and lovely jam, honey etc
Spar in Valley does surprisingly good bacon butties
