now, I just put things on. Lift things up, twist things a bit, tip things a bit - until it's comfortable.

What am I missing by not knowing what all the 'angles' are?

if you have an angle of dangle you won't be comfortable

Angles and other technology are just things you learn along the way as your love of all things cycling grows!!

I went for a proper bike fitting, and found out my saddle was meant to be stuffed right up my arse. Felt horrible for the first few rides, now I don't know how I ever rode with it so low before.

hmmm that sounds far to geeky to me. I'd never use any measurements formula to determine the optimum saddle position for efficiency and power.

456s = saddle right foreward or my knees really go cranky next day

Kona Explosif was the same

Pace/Sanderson/Marin/Trek are ok

Haven't analysed it beyond adjusting away the pain
