Can anybody help;

Looked at and tried one or two of the free remote itunes apps, but they wouldn't connect/talk to itunes. Feedback from other usesrs suggested the same issues.

Then purchased remote for itunes this at first connected with itunes and worked a treat. It then started to drop connection requiring constant re-pairing. Very hit and miss functionality.

Help pages suggest it could be down to a possible firewall problem and suggest opening ports.

My system comprises of;

Latest itunes
Zone alarm firewall
Windows 7 firewall - disabled due to running Zone alarm.
Virgin/Netgear router.

So where could my problem lie in the router internal firewall , Zone alarm,

The app developer site states;

If you have a firewall in your router, make sure that TCP port 3689 and UDP port 5353 are open. How ?

Can anyody help.

Thanks
