I want to grab a "backup" phone as my biggest iphone smashes have all been bike related. The idea is I can swap the sim over and listen to music/podcasts on long rides. I thought I'd give android a go as I've never had one.
Any recommendations? It won't be used for photos or much other than audio and the odd text and google maps. Ideally under 250 euros and should be able to take a microSD
Why not a 5SE in a bash proof case?
If just for music, do you really need to pay out over 200quid?
I've been using an old iPhone 4, until the app for my NAS went titsup.
Now got my son's old Samsung which does the job well and takes a microSD - can get them for around £150 -

or an S7 for a bit more. But I'm sure there are cheaper options out there.
Anything would do the job, Motorola e series or a g4/g5. Stock android, no bloatware, can take a 64gb or 128gb.
For example, Motorola E5 at argos, £90 new
Getting another phone just for music seems like a sledgehammer/nut scenario. How about a simple MP3 player like a Sandisk Clip with bluetooth(or much cheaper no-name ones from banggood.com), and keep your iphone in a good case in your pack. Pair both the player and the phone to your bluetooth headphones and you won't miss calls
