yes i have now looks like a risky purchase,little bit more cash and at least a reliable operating system.
Looking at currys /pc world clearance sale now on so can get acer aspire for under £300.
comes pretty good too.
If you're on a budget is worth looking on on ebay at a refurbished IBM Thinkpad X61. They last forever, better processors than most current netbooks. About to pull the trigger myself and whack ubuntu on it.
