I think you are giving credit to the British public it doesn’t deserve. No one that is vaguely interested in Tate will notice a spelling error and the chances of any algorithm pushing a scoffing post from a Guardian type into their feed is also vanishingly small.

And yet here it is on this thread

Being read by scoffing Guardian types. How many potential Tate supporters do you think will read it here?

TBH Tate has got so big by not being noticed by the Guardian types, blissfully unaware of what shite was being continuously drip fed to their kids 🙁

Wants to be another celebrity freedom fighter who the system has imprisoned for him telling it as it is.

I was expecting to see a few new headbanger culture war hard Right parties spring up now that Farage had fallen out with Elon and that £100 million is up for grabs. Shameless grifting but what more did we really expect?

I'm still waiting for Lee Anderson to split from Reform to launch his "Great British common sense party" or something equally toe-curling and kick his Musk arse-kissing up to the next level.

What happened to the fella who had a face like somebody had drawn one on a cushion, Nick Griffin was it? Did Farage consume him or something?

What I find truly disturbing is how Tate has managed to get young men to follow him. I mean, look at the ****. There are so many great male role models out there. How, as a society, have we let this happen? I honestly feel like I'm living on a different timeline sometimes.

He sells them dreams and the promise of great wealth.

But to be fair so does our wider society with its cult of the celebrity, it isn't just him.  Obviously his influence is a bit more toxic than Britain's Got Talent though.

It's amazing. Every time I think the world has produced the ultimate, weapons-grade moron, another challenger for the title appears. I sincerely hope that his grift fails at the same time as his prosecution succeeds and the legions of his adoring fans get a really rude awakening as to the sort of person they have been supporting.

Damn.....I opened this thread hoping to find a pic of both Tate brothers nailed to a door, preferably through their foreheads with their balls stuffed in their mouths but alas......not this time.....fingers crossed for next time.

Has he come out yet?

I don't think that he is ready for that yet. He is still currently churning out homophobic stuff.

One of the policies of his new Bruv Party is to ban “all LGBTQ+ propaganda” from schools.

Didn't he try to rebrand himself and a celebrity chef - showing you how he cooks non-of-that-foreign-muck and how you can cook a delicious meal even if you're skint.... on an Aga (Spoiler alert - the top thrifty tip is to 'go to a proper butcher and tell him you've got a dog')

Last seen taking pictures of himself in Clarkson's pub. Previously seen hanging out with murderers in Serbia.

Well, someone’s got to, I s’pose. You wouldn’t catch me there; James May’s pub, on the other hand, looks a lot more appealing.

Maybe there's something in the DNA? I guess these overweight, hard of thinking types can only be a threat in large numbers or with the Tory's/Reform behind them.

Is nowhere corrupt enough to shield multimillionaires from criminal prosecution? Okay Romania was apparently a miscalculation but Donald Trump's United States??..... where are misogynists engaged in criminal activities supposed to seek refuge?

"They feel secure in America for several reasons, the primary one being that Donald Trump is the president. As a result, they are excited to call America their home again," Mr McBride said in a statement.

It is amusing how several governers of, frankly, lunatic states have turned around and gone "no thanks".

There is an interview with him (random link best I can find!) with him announcing he is a gravy seal who knows how to wipe his phone every night.

At which point two things spring to mind.

Firstly although I am not a fan of "if you have nothing to hide..." and may be a fan of sensible use of vpn and encryption and can understand why when visiting some countries a burner phone makes sense (although not generally for a pleb like me) wiping the phone daily seems overkill unless, you know, you have something to hide?

Secondly isnt that just an invite to any cops interested to boot his door down mid evening meal?

Since he is dual citizen can we revoke his UK one? I reckon both the mail and the guardian would shrug so why not?

It's good he's in the US, because if he continues with his MO, he'll find the US will lock him up indefinitely.

In the UK or EU it would be concurrent sentencing per crime, but not so in the US.

Well possibly except Romania has promised that when they have finished with the Tate brothers they will handed over to UK prosecutors

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/internet-personality-tate-brought-court-uk-arrest-warrant-2024-03-12/

A Romanian court has approved a request from Britain to extradite internet personality Andrew Tate but postponed doing so until Romanian trial proceedings finish.

I reckon the Americans should wait their turn like everyone else.

*Raises eyebrows* With how things are going in America, there’s plenty of places that’ll welcome him with open arms! Diaper Don might find a place for him in the cabinet…

Apparently they have to go right through the Romanian judicial process, including prison (?) before they get back to the UK

Which is a bit shit for their UK victims

Tbh if I was one of their UK victims I doubt that I would be much less satisfied at the thought of them being in a Romanian prison.

Life for a foreigner in a Romanian prison can't be a great deal of fun.

And then all they will have to look forward to is likely to be British prison life.

This is still feeding the machine isn’t it?

The Tates get to swan about, burning court time in multiple Countries, maintaining the media profile and continuing to feed teenage boys into the pipeline.

Their victims can probably look forward to a prolonged and upsetting process, a significant chance of being doxed and more than likely the Tates never actually being imprisoned for their crimes in the UK…

What's your reasoning behind that? The UK has a well established record for imprisoning people.

But a pretty poor rate of prosecuting/convicting sexual offences.  If the Tates are simultaneously accused of multiple crimes in multiple countries it does create an interesting question of who gets to prosecute them first, and if convicted in both countries which jurisdiction keeps them.

I think that might be a misrepresntation of the process. The Romanian Judge said could only be extradited from Romania after they had finished with them (it wouldn't normally include serving the sentence so long as there was a promise to return them if found not guilty in the UK).  I suspect that would be the same in the other direction.  But they aren't in Romania.  I've no idea what Romanian prisons are like, but I'd be voluntarily surrendering to the UK - not that our prisons are how the Daily Express would like you to think!

Posted by: cookeaa
a significant chance of being doxed

UK courts get VERY upset if someone "outs" someone protected by court order (as all alleged sexual crimes victims are) - and would not only have serious consequences for the "doxer" but also any media platform that didn't immediately deal with it.  They may perceive a risk, their may even be a low risk, but I think it would be wrong to call it "a significant chance".
