I have no kids for the whole day during school time. They have gone, it is here. Only realised it had been that long the other night. This week is going to be tough, I know it is. Probably going to have loud music on and work my way through it. Honestly don't know what to do with myself now. Feel quite weird about it all if I'm honest, needless to say I will be getting out on my bike at some point.

That's all really, just a short rant while waiting for the kettle to boil pondering what the day will bring.

You might be getting something through the post, although the MyHerpes tracking ain't working. But don't let that stop you getting out on a ride, will be a nice day for a pootle.

They'll be back, being noisy, before you know it.

Put Black Hawk Down on with the volume turned up to eleven, and sit watching it in your pants, scratching your arse and farting

Stay strong, brother

Oooft, that's one of the big life changes.

How did it go?

Mrs_oab and I had a day last holiday where all the lads were doing something they had arranged. We went hill walking. It was like rewinding 18 years...weird.

It was very surreal. The morning went OK, but i did get ready to pick him up at lunchtime before I remembered I don't need to 😔

Had a message from a friend asking if I wanted to pop round to hers for some cawl. So spent the afternoon out of the house at least. He was very tired when I picked him up at the end of school, wasn't sure if he'd want to go back today. But he was happy and away they all went.

Plan for today - music on, get the bird ready for a ride and sort through bike stuff. Nothing major, but something I enjoy. And possibly fix the curtain poles the kids broke about 3 months ago while playing hide and seek. One of those jobs I keep looking at and thinking I'll sort that one day.

Granny ring - gave up after 453, how many are there?

Sounds good.

I find even days 'off' (and you never are as a parent' I have to be productive. Productive can be a bike ride.

It can't be loitering with nothing to do.

So, pics of the Bird ride?

We are your way mid July.

If you want a solid way to eat up time baking bread is fun, but a little too much research and trial and error involved at the moment (I'm about 3 weeks into learning to 'sourdough'). I made the saltiest loaf at the weekend, it was really moreish, but made you drink and the salt addiction kicked in quickly!
