[Closed] An observation about badgers - North / South Divide
Did 100 miles in the chilterns and Southampton and saw 6 dead badgers
Did 250 miles around Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire and didnt see one?
Either our Northern badgers are much better at dodging cars, or we dont have any badgers, or we have less traffic?, or some bar steward kept moving the same badger along my route?
Any ideas?
Puzzled
Nature types often say lots of dead animals is a sign of lots of them. You see fewer dead hedgehogs now so they need help.
Mmmmmm badger...
I saw two in 125 miles in Southern Scotland yesterday if that's any use?

from the site:
Are badgers widespread in the UK?
Some areas of Britain are devoid of badgers. They are most heavily concentrated in the south east and south west of England, west and central Wales, and north east England.
I think we get em killed then dumped by the roads round our way ๐
They'll all be shot soon any way.......... ๐
They eat them in the North.
