I'm familiar with the Alison Stokke story and it's a sad reflection on a society that can't differentiate between what's real and what's not. If you look for more Alison Stokke pictures, the ones that are available show, for me at least, that she is not that attractive. THE photo shows her at a particular moment in her sport where she looks, as an athlete, superb.

If a person willingly puts themselves in the public eye, then they must expect the consequences. But when they are thrust into the limelight against their own wishes, isn't this wrong?

Would it not be better if she could do something she loves without all this aggro/unwated attention she neither wants nor deserves

Ultimately that kind of behaviour creates an environment where people don't speak up.

This place should be about discussion and even disagreement, alongside a healthy dose of fun. The thread dominance and, or attempts to browbeat 'opponents' who disagree with a viewpoint, must be very off-putting for many.

Images are taken from sports and held up as how we should be.
Why is it that Alison Stokke is the only person to have received this type of treatment. Is it unfeasible to think that it might have been a savvy attempt at promoting her image? Just a thought.

Consenting to have your image used for all you mention is not the same as having it used sexually against your will. Some people - say jordan - seem comfortbale with this others are not.

But, you know what, I don't actually think this Forum is the place for this stuff. I'm no feminist and I'm not gay but do feel that if people want this, there are other places.

Thing is, it's evident on the A+A thread and on some other threads today, that some folk still aren't getting what the forum rules mean, and think it's ok to post pics that they think are ok, without respecting the fact that others might find them inappropriate or offensive.

The way I see it, is don't post owt that you would think inappropriate for a child to see, and you're probbly alright. A picture of a lady in her pants might be ok, or not, depending on the context of the image. I think it just need a moment's thought, and consideration for others, before hitting the submit button.
