There are hundreds of documentaries on Amazon Prime, unfortunately a lot of them are quite poor. I did stumble across one on the Battle of the Atlantic, "Convoy", which is actually pretty good.
Any other recommendations? Don't have to be award winning, top of the line, just some decent, well produced stuff, instead of recycled "Nazi Superweapon secrets on drugs" stuff.
Good few mountain and climbing ones. Tend to just start with one that looks good and let autoplay do its thing!
Not sure if it is on Prime yet, but "Beyond The Curve" is a recent one on the Flat Earth movement that has their "community" in all kinds of convulsions and in-fighting.
Beyond the curve is on Netflix , really good .
What about Long Strange Trip -- long documentary about the Grateful Dead. Impressed that many of them are lucid and indeed still around after decades of industrial quantities of drug-taking...

Command and Control is certainly on netflix, not sure about amazon but really worth a watch
If it on Prime Grizzly Man is great
I really enjoyed all or nothing. All blacks one and man city. Struggling to get into the NFL one though.
Road is very good - it’s about motorcycle road racing but worth a watch even if you’re not a biker. Also even more poignant now that William D has been killed too...
Running for good, about ultrarunner Fiona Oakes, a quite incredible lady.
Pistorius was pretty good, 4 parts about that bloke who runs quickly and shoots people.
Good few mountain and climbing ones.
I enjoyed "Mountain Biking - The Untold British Story". Some pleasant reminders of how things used to be and includes lots of commentary from people I respect and whose stories I want to hear.
The Eagle Huntress, one of the best films I've seen in years.
