The answer is yes. Paypal gift purchase (I know 🙄 but I am a trusting soul), but I have been stitched up, I think.

Strangely I can't find the original ad on here.... spooky!

I responded through the users e mail for a second hand item that arrived in poor condition. E mailed the chap who responded eventually, saying return the item for a refund. But following that no response, no return address and no contact.

Is it possible to delete an ad on here?

Not by users no and I've checked your history for deleted posts and there is none where you've been engaged with a classifieds sale.

Send the item details to moderators@singletrackworld.com we'll have a look but we do not get involved with disputes.

No it means I didn't see 69er's email before I asked him to email me.

I've just messaged the OP with a link to the thread in question.

This is regarding a long-standing user; I don't know the guy personally but I'd be shocked if there was anything nefarious going on.

So am I, given that a) Drac sent you a list of all your accused's history and b) in light of your continued blindness I then sent you a direct link to the actual thread in question.

@ Cougar - no, my initial forum searches for the item and keywords threw up nil return.
Happily I am capable of clicking on the link you sent 😉

Sadly no response from the original advertiser.

I'm enjoying this thread although I don't actually know what's going on.

Thankfully, I see I'm not alone in that confusion.

Top tip: Add "YGM re: <state item>" on threads containing prospective purchases. That way.. well, I think you know.
