Been asked to see if I can get a better deal on an R-Tech 201 tig (200amp 60% duty cycle) welder. With the footpedal hose and regulator £1250 + vat.
Is this a good deal, a good welder or is there something else I should consider rather than the R-Tech?
Know nothing about welders or welding.

Are you sure the above price hasn't already got the VAT added?
I used to use ESAB and Murex TIG sets, they were a lot bigger than the size of what you're looking at though.

Thanks for the reply.
No vat is to be added.
The size of the welder isnt important as we have a huge area Ill take a look at ESAB and Murex now.

No vat is to be added.

Unless you're buying some extras, they're just over £1250 inc VAT from R-Tech direct. Link

What are you welding also 60 percent duty means you can run near 200 amps for 6 minutes out of every 10 if your in the upper current ranges don't expect it to run 8 hours every day ,what is the 100 percent duty cycle
