If you're only using it occasionally then pop into Lidl and get one of the Crivit mats they have in there ATM.

Looks identical to the Alpkit Numo mat (read an online review that compares them), and is only £17.

Not used mine in anger yet, but on the basis of a quick blow up and lie down seems very comfy and robustly made. Certainly more comfy than my (much heavier) self inflating mat.

Vango for me - bombproof.

I've had Alpkit in the past and all four failed (this was a few years ago mind).

If your car camping youll be better off with a closed cell foam mat .

Yeah, I had an early Dozer, I think, one of the big, fat car camping ones, and it developed a series of leaks, mostly around the seams. I think they then changed factory at some point and my later Dirtbag has been faultless. Ditto the Numo.

For car camping: big, fat, affordable - pick three 🙂  I'd get a Dozer for car camping fwiw. Super comfortable.

I’ve had the dozer (big fat comfy thing) for years. We’ve also got the Numo (light, comfy thing) for bikepacking. Both have been excellent.

We have family coming to stay at the weekend, and they prefer sleeping on our Exped Megamats on the floor of the living room, to the Ikea mattress in the spare bedroom!

I've had about 5 Alpkit mats all fail, they replaced four but the last one was too old to be replaced. Currently got three left and a Decathlon one so we'll see how it goes with those.

Can also recommend the Lidl mat, got one myself seems spot on. There's a review on Youtube that compares it to the Alpkit.

Got a couple of dozers. Seem good and comfy and a lot cheaper than exped (we have some of them too) but still early days. Hope they don’t start leaking.
