Need a wheel to make up a set for some winters (check me getting ahead of the game on about the warmest day of the year). This on has come up on ebay. 2nd Hand and mint apart from this odd issue on the rim. That's not going to be an issue mounting a tyre is it? If I either covered to stop corrosion or used a bit of super hard epoxy filler and then attempted a bit of a colour match cover....if I could be bothered.

Would you if cheap enough?

Won't effect the tyre at all. Purely cosmetic. I might be tempted to file off the top burr and go over it with a Sharpie but I'd happily buy them at the right price.

What he said. If the price is right buy it and do this.

I wouldn't bother with resins and epoxy and stuff for this.

As above x 2.

Although my 'fix' would be to smooth it with a small file, colour match as best I could with generic touch up paint followed by clear lacquer (probably clear nail varnish) to slow future corrosion.ย

Yeah as above... File the burr down to match.
If your tyres have rim protector bits where the tyre pokes out slightly wider where it meets the rim you'll never notice.
But also as above.. Bit of black touch up paint to stop the finish deteriorating further and jobs a good un.
