Pictures of the new Pope's G Wagen got me thinking.

What is your all time favourite official vehicle - staff car, police car etc?

[img] [/img]

I reckon the 600 Pullman is still one of the outright coolest...

[img] [/img]

What do you reckon?

(Yes, I'm bored).

Old Mercs are cooler than a penguin's pantry. FACT!

UKE 80 is pretty damned spanking, though.

A friend of mine, an avid Mercedes collector, I think he has a dozen, has a pair of these that he had shipped from South Africa. Former staff cars:

110 WKIK... perfect for the Zombie Apocalypse

or

[img] [/img]

Lara Croft's 110... avec Lara... was going to say "perfect for the Zombie Apocalypse" but her landy don't have the Gimpys, 40mm grenade launcher (optional) and good ol' Ma Duece (the 50mm M2 HMG)

EDIT (and yes i do know that a) that ain't a 110 b)it possibly isn't even a landy (could be a bobtail disco) and c) that isn't really angelina jolie but.... I just liked the pic... )

That Lara Croft car's not a Disco, or a Landy. I think it's a Landcruiser.

I came here to post a picture of the extended 4 door Citroen SMs used by the French presidents for a while, but Putin riding a bear through a river and whatever that transparent plane is just dominate everything else out of existence.

Yesterday, in order to get to a bothy in the middle of nowhere (down tracks/up hills that Defenders can't cope with) to find a suicidal missing person, 3 of us travelled in one of these, so for a couple of hours I guess it counted as a police car. Either way, it's an incredible machine!

poor effort by NWAS up there... our bikes (before they scrapped the scheme) had Fox forks and Alfine gears IIRC...

but yeh, putin, riding a bear, through a river. He might be nuts, but I'd vote for him on the basis of that picture alone!

Franklin Roosevelt's train which he'd take from Grand Central Station to the Wardorf Astoria's own private underground station. He was able to be driven in his car...

[img] [/img]

... straight off the mainline train, into this one, the from the underground station, still in his car take a lift up into the garage of the hotel. All to avoid having to be seen using his wheelchair by the pubic.

Which was a pity really as his wheelchair looked ace
