Alexander the less than great

Not sure if I've just not ever taken much notice of it before or if Alexander is particularly prolific this year? Seems to be taking over in places, especially where I like to cycle. Last week felt under attack from its pollen and I'm not even a hay fever sufferer (at least don't think so). Fantasising about some sort of chopping machinery attached to the front of my bike.

I actually had no idea that's what it was called (and still didn't until you posted that pic as I hadn't bothered to look it up 😂) but yes it's come up several times lately related to cycling infrastructure/rights of way access and apparently is a massive problem locally at the moment! Apparently the area down at the harbour earmarked for new cycle parking is overrun with this stuff, so the scheme can't go ahead till it's sorted!!
