Evening all

Friday night pick your brains thread...

I'm getting married in mid February and planning on offering bottled ale as an arrival drink (alternatives will be available but I'm not worried about those 🙂 ) I prefer the golden/pale ale/IPA's and would ideally like to pick something that's a bit different. If it could have a bike related name that'd be a bonus...

I'm going to need around 30-40 bottles, live near Fareham (Hampshire) and have a couple of weeks to get something arranged...

So - anything spring to mind?

Thanks in advance!

Not exactly bike names, but classic mtb domains.

http://fixedwheelbrewery.co.uk/new-site/. Their carbon black IPA and Chainreaction pale ale are really good indeed.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far 🙂
Didn't know half of these existed, time for a beer or 2 (for research purposes...) whilst I browse through the above!

Local. Excellent.

Also, IIRC, one of the folks there is a regular on here. That makes it bike specific. Apologies, but I forget who!

There are several other BPW branded ones as well. Think you can only get them there though.

Thornbridge did a very nice "L'Eroica" ale for last years event. Volunteers got a free bottle as part of the goodie pack. Was worth standing in the road at a junction for several hours!

Sadly a very limited run, the Hubcap microbrewery in Vail did a Yeti Ale for the '94 Worlds, which was very good indeed. The eight bottles I brought back didn't last long... 😀

Ranmore Ale or Shere Drop, not in bottles though

Hogs Back Brewery is in your doorstep of course (tour is fun too) - they do a beer called A over T - could be appropriate 🙂

You're in Fareham?!

May I recommend your most local of breweries? A brewer who is in fact a member of this here forum?

You know it makes sense!
