Usual bitch and moan fest about a tv series. You’re overthinking it way to much.

Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but some of you lot try really hard not to enjoy stuff.

^ moaners moaning shocker.

Well I'm enjoying it though I think the best Star wars thing was clone wars (series not film)

try and think how a space battle would actually go not just re-hashing WW2 plane sequences

You do know the original Star Wars had shot for shot reproduction of a WW2 film plane sequences.

Nice, trying to polish a turd with a bit of ad hominem.

Love the way she folds her arms to indicate some serious talk coming up.

It's a character trait that the character has been doing for about 15 years.

I am really enjoying and have no idea whats going to happen next. I mean we know the baddies are looking for Thrawn and Ahsoka is trying to stop them whilst Sabine and Hera want to find Ezra but how any of this will happen next is anyone's guess.

I would suggest if you really don't like it just don't watch it. Problem solved, I mean I would suggest ignoring threads talking about it too, but, you know, a good moan is fine if that's what makes you happy.

I assume the green general lady and her ship are based on WW2 yank fighter pilots.

Emo Padawan is hot. Ahsokas acting seems to be based on Roger Moore as 007.

I like it. Oh and space whales, were they also in Mando or something?

Briefly, yes. They played a big part in the ending of the Rebels cartoon series.

Wait. A writer can't be bothered to make an effort and somehow it's my fault for not going for sub standard stuff.

I like a lot of TV shows. This one tbh is ok, all these Star Wars ones look great and at times I am watching for the visuals. But they could easily do better IMO.

I'm enjoying it (so there 😋)

I've bit watched the Clone Wars or Rebels. They both coincided with fatherhood, so no time to watch much TV (unless I stopped cycling).

What bits of CWs or Rebels should one watch to get up to speed, or is it all or nothing?

I know people want to see tension and spaceships whizzing about, but

I know it’s obviously not hard sci-fi but put use your bloody imagination and try and think how a space battle would actually go

I am not sure what your problem is tbh. I mean I'm sure WWII dog fights and battles would be different if the Lancaster bomber had a jedi with a light sabre on the top of it.

What was the lazy writing you are talking about? What did you want to see?

I have tried the animated stuff but I struggle with it. I like South Park and manga

though so Im not entirely animationist.

Well, sending her into the tail gunner pod. Why would that not be automatic? Why didn't we have spaceship weaponry like missile swarms with beam laser countermeasures and such.

I also have a problem with a plot point in the last one - are we doing spoilers here?

Because those things don't seem to exist in Star Wars so inventing them just then would be really lazy writing.

To show that when she told Sabine what to do it didn't work, when she trusted and worked with her it did.

I'm now concerned that I'm finding the WW2 yank fighter pilot more attractive than emo padawan.

Ive stayed away from all this until ive caught up . Geek level is high here, from Rebels  and the Clone wars .  As much as Andor was ment to show the dirt and grit of the SW universe  then the magic of SW is shown in Ahsoka.

So many easter eggs and flashbacks from  the CW and Rebels, I think its brilliant. Better than  dare I say  the Mandalorian, and far better than the Book of BF .

Agree about Hera and the baddie Padawan!

Andor was the real people facing up against real oppression.

This is pure fantasy and escapism.

Loving both.

Ashoka, Andor and Mando are all great in my opinion. Boba and Obi Wan on the other hand are terrible. Boba in particular is crap. Take a mysterious character who appeared briefly in film and turn him in to your grandad pottering around in the desert.

The landlocked hermit crab creatures had me wondering if it was getting a bit silly, but stayed the right side of the line

I am interested to know the correlation between liking the Ahsoka series having watched Clone Wars and Rebels.

Everyone in our house is disappointed that characters we know and love have become cartoonish cutouts of their anime personas. Also clever plotting and story arcs seem to have been dispensed with.

The first Mandalorian series was like comic books brought to life, Ahsoka seems like live action represented in a comicbook style.

Dangerously close to Ewok territory but at least it wasn't mods on Vespas.

I'm enjoying it but I definitely think you're more likely to enjoy it if you watched some/all of Clone Wars an/or Rebels.

No-one is arguing with that one, are they? I mean, what could go wrong with the idea of a famous intergalactic bounty hunter and badass getting involved in town council meetings?

BoBF was so bad, it even made Mandalorian bad by association. Loved Andor and first couple of series of Mandalorian, didn't mind Obi Wan.

Do I need to watch all the Clone Wars/Rebels stuff to make Ahsoka worthwhile?

No - just google "ahsoka what to watch clone wars rebels"  There are few lists of varying levels of completeness.  Pick one that suits the amount of free time you have.

Last 3 or so episodes of Rebels would help.

I am loving Ahsoka.

Really want to see what happens with Balon, what's he up to? Does Ahsoka know the stories, is the the one the droid told her? Shame the actor has died, wonder if they will recast?

Loved the horse/wolf/dog thingy 😄😄😄

For some reasons Sabine's journey in that episode reminded me of Monkey and that can only be good right?

Thats the main thing for me as well.

Never seen any of the animated stuff but happy to go with the flow and I'm enjoying Ahsoka.

But then - and I know I may be banned from my own thread for saying this - I found Bobba Fett perfectly pleasant brain out entertainment.

whoa, whoa, whoa. The Ewok’s are bloody brilliant!

Evidence A - The Yub Nub song.

Evidence B - Guerrilla warfare.

Evidence C - Using dead Stormtroopers helmets, and possibly heads, as a drum kit.

Evidence D - Having spare clothes for Lea to use means they have form for murdering and/or eating previous interlopers.

Evidence E - Murder bears.

Most underrated characters in Star Wars. The Clone Wars would’ve been over a lot quicker if those furry ****ers had been involved. They’d eat those snail people for breakfast.

Gonna be honest, I was disappointed by Thrawn in this week's episode. He's a short middle age dude with a bit of a belly.

Thrawn should be tall and imposing. Oh well.

Yes he had let himself go a bit, if he's heir to the empire maybe there's hope for me yet.

Evidence E – Murder bears

Yeah to be fair playing Ewok hunt on Star Wars Battlefront where you're a stormtrooper in the dark with a torch and the ewoks are everywhere with sharp pointy sticks, the little buggers always win.

He plays Thrawn in the Rebels series. And he is Mads Mikkelsen's brother! But, I agree, that belly does not work

Hey, give the guy a break... He's been in exile for a decade, he can be excused for letting his exercise regime drop a little...  😀
