Bail refused. So drunk he couldn't stand up and refused to take a breath test. Apparently he thinks the sentence is "excessive".

Sometimes there is justice. Bet he didn't anticipate a prison sentence.

Why? Would it have been less if he'd had water in his vodka bottle?

The alcohol might've reacted with his medication??

If less than the legal limit can do that when mixed with medication you have to question should he have been driving while medicated...

As much as Deano was my hero as a young boy when he played for Brighton, this is terrible and I’m glad he’s going to serve time for it. Talksport should actually take a look at the drinking culture amongst its presenters. Every time I happen to listen in the morning now, if Brazil actually turns up, they just seem to be talking about how pissed they got yesterday and what they are up to once they finish the show.

I was thinking the same thing.

It looks like someone has inflated Dustin Hoffman's head.

the law is bollocks, how come he gets a 10 week sentence when other drivers who do actual harm to people get nothing but a slap on the wrist and a ban.

He was prosecuted for refusing a breath test. Judge obviously wanted to set an example that refusing a test will get a harsher penalty than being drunk.

The Judge gave a harsher sentence as a deterrent as he is in the public eye.

The comments about 'arrogance' suggest he didn't conduct himself all that well in front of the judge!

I thought that went against sentencing guidelines. You should be tried on the offence, not who you are.
