Having spent much of this week watching amazing people do remarkable things in the Paralympics, I was off to Brands Hatch yesterday morning to see the likes of David Stone and Alex Zanardi.

However, I was brought down to earth by a shocking magazine headline in a newsagent's rack at Charing Cross tube station:

"Cheryl: Dramatic Week for the Brave Star"

I can only hope that all of us, and the Paralympic athletes, can keep her in our thoughts at this difficult time

But it's all over now. It's Back On Your Heads, no longer the inspiring sporting heroes but back to being a drain on society...
