Whilst listening to the radio this afternoon from camp bastion I noticed it was a 4 1/2 hr time difference. Why's that then, thought it was always a full hour?

a [url= http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_time_zones_by_country ]handful of places[/url] are in half hour timezones so its not unique to afgansitan but not especially common either.

Nah, India is also a 30min difference, 5.5 hrs at this time of year. They don't do summer time shift.
